The addition "PRO-TEK" on the new SuperNOVA2 stands for the professional technology and workmanship and for the word "Protection" (= protection).
Here are the details of the newly revised SN2 chuck:

The chuck body of the new SuperNOVA2 "PRO-TEK" is protected by a high-quality coating, which provides a rust-resistant and durable surface and the chuck is therefore particularly suitable for turning wet wood.
Connection M33 x 3.5 (precise direct thread - no separate thread insert is required!) with ASR (Euro) safety groove.
The jaws are closed intuitively in a clockwise direction. (improved handling)
The tried-and-tested one-hand lever operation has been retained. Precise jaw slides with very good sliding properties and high wear resistance - a safety stop prevents the jaw slides from protruding beyond the chuck body.
New hexalobular screws and a new T-handle wrench for fixing the pliers allow for easier and faster assembly with higher torque.
The new 50 mm "PRO-TEK" collet with dovetail outside and inside is additionally ribbed on the inside for an optimal hold of the clamped workpiece. The individual collets are numbered (laser engraved).
6 years full parts guarantee.

This chuck fits on all standard lathes with an M33 x 3.5 thread and can - depending on the version of the lathe spindle - be secured either with an ASR Euro safety ring (available as an option) or with the help of the supplied grub screw on the spindle!
