A favourite tool of chair and other furniture makers, this spokeshave makes free hand shaping of spindles, seats, edges and other non uniform surfaces accurate and simple. Measuring 267mm from tip to tip, this spokeshave has a fully stress relieved steel body and precision ground flat sole. With the blade seated at 45°, this spokeshave may be used on either the push or pull stroke as preferred.
The 51mm wide high carbon steel blade is fully adjustable for depth of cut using the knurled brass screws. Designed to give maximum support to the 3mm thick blade, the body is shaped to hold the blade firm during cutting for a flawless, chatter free cut. The solid rosewood handles are ergonomically shaped to give the user extra comfort and control in use.
