For Eetu Tingander, the profession of carpenter was evident at the age of 6, and when she graduated she was the youngest carpenter in Finland ever. For the first 12 years of his career, he worked as a carpenter in several companies until 2016, when he founded Mestaripuuseppä Tingander Oy. Today, the company employs 4 skilled carpenters in addition to him.
Making a company that makes custom-made and design furniture combines the traditions of wood craft and modern working methods. In addition to nurturing traditions, important values ??are creativity, high quality, ecology and sustainability. The majority of sales come from bespoke work for private customers, such as stairs, saunas and kitchen furniture. In addition, there is its own Tingander Collection, some of which are made in series and some to size. For example, the height of the tables is constant, but the width and length are determined according to the customer's wishes. The collection is constantly being expanded, and the LOHKARE benches that arrived at the beginning of the year have aroused great interest.
At the master carpenter's workshop in Tingander, YETI SmartBench was commissioned in January 2021. The acquisition of a CNC milling machine had been considered for a long time, but no suitable alternative had been found.
With Tingander, which invests in modernizing working methods, 3D drawing has increased significantly. They use Fusion 360 3D CAD software, due to the requirements of which many older CNC machines did not have enough technology for them. Instead, the Fusion-compatible YETI SmartBench was quite well suited to their needs.
Another significant factor in favor of the YETI SmartBench was the compact size and mobility of the machine. There was no need to install protective mats or separate railings for the machine in the workshop. In addition, the machine can be moved to the side when not in use. As the workshop in Tingander is quite small, less than 400 m2, the need for space is of great importance in the choice of equipment.
Even when the price of the YETI SmartBench was appropriate, it was easy to make a final purchase decision.
